This is exactly why I don't keep a journal.... because I'd rather sleep than do just about anything, except be with friends. So when I could be journaling (or writing this), I'm asleep. Today was a good example- my family went to the beach for the 4th so I'm alone at my house. The only people I talked to ALL DAY were the bank teller and the girl at circuit city (the place that I hate most in the world... another story) until Wade came by to visit for a few minutes tonight. So for 12 hours today, I ran 2 erands and cleaned the house b/c I was bored. PLENTY of time to write, but I don't really like to do it.

Anyway, lots of fun things have been going on lately. We took the 6th graders on a mission trip to Matamoros last week. I love that place- it's where I was on staff last summer so I got to hang out with all of my translator friends for a week again. Derek Garcia (an MBY friend) brought his youth group too, so it was fun to see him and Max. Most of the 125 kids on the trip were high schoolers, but we took 12 year olds and they were amazing! It was so fun to see them start to understand the world apart from the Macon bubble.

Craig was really nice and planned a surprise visit to come see me. He got here on Tuesday and left on Monday. It was so good to see him in the middle of the 2 month summer. While he was here, we were planning for VBS- the theme this year is gameday, but we don't have very many kids signed up yet. It'll be good though. I'm supposed to teach missions, how you do that with kindergarteners thru 4th graders is beyond me, but hopefully it'll come together before monday. This weekend, Craig and I went to Athens or the last time before we go to move our stuff out. It's a little sad, but I have an apartment and a roommate in Denver. I even applied for a real job today (yikes!) so things don't seem as scary as they did last month.
